I was born in Mississippi, raised in Mississippi, and married while attending a university in Mississippi. After graduation, my husband began his Army career and whisked me away to see the world.

Life as a military spouse demanded an array of adjustments. Our family changed homes twenty-four times, lived in ten different states, and spent eleven years outside the USA.

During those busy years, I raised two wonderful daughters, earned a master's degree in Early Childhood Education, and taught either kindergarten or first grade in Georgia, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.

Guests always use the word 'interesting' to describe our home. Filled with military memorabilia and treasures from places we've lived and visited, it reflects our previously nomadic way of life.

Now retired, my husband and I live in our home state, and I finally have time to read and write to my heart's content. As a Mississippian, who has seen much of the world and returned home, I sincerely appreciate the charm of the deep south and the idiosyncrasies of its people. The setting of my novel, and the characters who live and love there, epitomize that appreciation. I hope you'll enjoy visiting Anna, Max, and their friends, in the unmistakably southern town of Tenacity, Mississippi.
